VElvis sold his 585 to me. I have been riding my Ti bike since '07 and was on steel before that. The wife rode carbon but the 585 will be my first carbon bike. I must confess that I am pretty excited to build this up and take it for a spin.

That was crazy expensive. My friend picked up a Look 585 this year with complete Dura-Ace 7800 for about $1,100 to $1,200 (can't remember the exact price) in the same frame color as this one.

A bit apples to oranges, but a NOS Tarmac SL4, 56, went for $575 LESS. With a carbon seat post. Huh?

I had one, fully loaded and it did nothing for me. I really liked the 595 better.

Here's another Look 585 for sale (just happens to be mine). Can't post in the classified section yet and have to move the frame to clear some space. A few nibbles by my fellow Vancouverites on our local website but no bite.

Sorry if this breaks the rules/etiquette but I figured that someone here may be interested and get a frame in great shape. More pictures available by email.

By way of background, I paid $1500 new with warranty papers in September 2012. That previous auction for $1800 is out of whack.

Gt is about to receive my 585 today... I was having sellers remorse...
But about to get on the orbea opal for the 3rd ride...and I can't wait.
It fits me better..the ride is fine... 23mm wide wheels are sweet..
The look was sexier though..

Just confirmed with my friend that he bought the exact same frameset, same size WITH complete Dura-Ace 7800 for only $1225.00. So there are some good deals out there on the 585...just not this one that sold on eBay.

Can anyone comment on the differences between the Optimum, Origin, and/or Ultra models? Are these different designs or just different carbon quality? TIA.
