Handle bar wrap

The lizzerd skins thread got me thinking.

I double wrap my bars, with the outside wrap normally leather. Who is making good leather bar wrap these days. I don’t care for Brooks, as IMO their quality has gone down.

What are you guys using?

I do have Brooks leather tape on two of my bikes, and I like it.
On the others, I have Handlebra leather tape.
It's expensive, but nice. However, I'm not sure he's still in business; parts of his website are no longer working.

That stuff is too short for my big bars. I’ve tried it, and called them and said something. They were nice enough to send me another set, which was also to short. But nice enough people, and they tried. If you are running less than 44 bars, I would love it.

Any word on handlebar?

Leh is the best I have used in quite a while. I haven't had issues wrapping my 44cm bars as others have. I believe you can request longer if needed as well, but as stated above that may not always work.

I love leather tape, granted only used Handlebra, Brooks and Velo Orange. Handlebra is by far the nicest, but I would prefer thicker wrap similar to Brooks or VO. I much preferred the VO to the Brooks, more even texture and durablility, but it appears they no longer sell it.

Sorry to hear about Handlebra, I was planning to order something soon.

There's Busyman, though I only see his blog, I guess you have to reach out to him to inquire about products and pricing.
