Views along the Veyo Loop near St. George, Utah. Frogs singing in the Santa Clara River, two Bluebirds flying by and temps in the 70's tell me Spring has arrived here. The last photo is what awaited me at home. No road ride today!

Very cool (figuratively) and cold (34F) morning on Tam. We place these flowers at the lookout to commemorate the death of a cyclist and friend who was hit by a car in 2020 to weeks ago. They are still fresh even after heavy rains and winds!
Also note the tide going out of the San Francisco Bay. Double Knot Bow (Railroad Grade Fire Road)

Week two of spring break from teaching and it feels like spring. 3.5 hours on small backroads, mostly pavement, a little (soft) dirt/gravel, very few cars.

Only got to do one ride in Death Valley, which my wife says was probably her favorite ride (and she's done gibraltar!). We were camped next to a bunch of hardcore cyclists who did Dante's peak on a windy day and some other massive rides. One of them turned out to be the retired owner of Luna Cycles!
Anyway, Artist's Palette was a treat. We went early and it was a one way road. This meant not only no cars, but also no worries about oncoming traffic around blind corners! Sent from my HD1907 using Tapatalk |

The day we rode, there was a bit of a head wind going there but a tail wind all the way back to camp! We scrapped our ride on Friday due to waking up a bit later (traffic) as well as some gusts. Opted for a hike and hanging out at elevation instead. Came back to find that our tent had blown away and some really nice neighbor campers chased it down and put rocks on it to anchor it haha. We ended up packing up and sleeping in the back of my hatchback. What a trip!

First ride with the little guy this year! 67 degrees yesterday with the Moots Ybb single speed even pulled the Burley over the ice and slush covered spots without any issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
