I wanted to drive up the mountain in front of me in bohemian Switzerland. But it was too much snow and I had to turn back.

I work in the park so, pre-covid I spent a lot of time out there.

Man, things got busy in a hurry for me. First ride today in months. Ouch. Fitness is down in the dumps, but it was lovely to get outside today in brilliant sunshine and comfortable temps. The wind was a bit much though.

Cheers to Spring!

On my Sutra but with 35mm ‘skinnies’.

Hilarious fun and became unrideable shortly after this. I ended up carrying my bike down massive rock slabs and multi foot dropoffs for about 30min. Never straddled the bike the whole time and it was a blast. At least I got my upper body workout by carrying the bike for so long.

Soon it will get warmer here.
But not today!
Our mini-thaw for 2 days last week left a liquid layer on top of the ice on our pond which has now frozen into beautiful skating ice.
This picture is from this afternoon. The morning was too brutally cold to be out there.
I'm ready to be warm!

I lived in Minneapolis for 2.5 years (3 winters). This makes me appreciate California and our climate change.
