OT: Winter outwear
I’m facing another winter in MI this year. Last year was the first I had been here for decades, and it was milder than it has been in decades. I don’t foresee this happening this year.
My trusty 30-year-old Carhartt jacket is getting pretty thin beer around the cuffs and collars, so I’m looking for a new jacket. I’m not looking for subzero jacket, but something that’ll keep an old man who gets cold when it’s 50° out Through what might be a colder than normal winter here. Is Carhartt still the best bang for the buck? Does anyone have anything else to recommend? Mostly used for dog walking and snow shoveling. I’m not looking for a fancy technical jacket. Just something that wears well and will keep me somewhat warm. The Carhartt served me well for 30 years.. |
