The thing with it all is going through the car wash takes 5 minutes and looks about 95% as good other than they suck at cleaning your rims.

Then I saved two hours I get to go for a bike ride.

This is one of the best parts of a hitch bike rack vs roof racks. 5 minutes to take it off, then you can go to the car wash, then 5 minutes to put the bike rack back on.

The interior of the car is the real problem. Mountain bike rides that require the car and most especially snowboarding trips just trash the interior. I do really appreciate it when I have the time to deep clean the inside of the car.
