Ray Ban Meta Smart Glasses?
Is anyone using Ray Ban Meta smart glasses as cycling glasses? I’m not a social media person, but these could be an alternative to Cycliq safety cameras, which in my experience have had quality issues with lousy customer support. It could be interesting to have the ability to shoot photos and videos from an eye-level perspective with audible, hands-free commands, and to also have open-ear audio capability to listen to music and receive calls if necessary.
I’ve always used Rudy Project with photochromatic progressive lenses on my bike. I’ve collected a few pair over the years. It’s time for new lenses. Oddly, it costs the same to purchase a new set of RP glasses with lenses as it does to purchase just lenses. I’m thinking the Metas won’t cost much more and they look interesting. I’m thinking this technology is going to find its way into a cycling-specific eyewear soon, but the Ray Bans don’t look bad and aren’t outrageously priced.
