Specialized SCS hub standard…HELP!

I’m beyond confused about Specialized’s SCS hub spacing standard so hoping the pros on this forum can help me!

I have a 2016 Specialized SWorks Crux which uses the short-lived Specialized SCS rear hub spacing standard. I love the bike and would like to upgrade from the crappy/heavy Specialized Axis SCS wheels that I currently use. Is there anyway to retrofit this bike to run current 12x142 thru axle wheels? I hear Hope made a SCS hub for a while, but no longer, so custom wheels no longer seem like an option.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
