Can/should I swap Rival AXS shifters for Red AXS D1?

Hey all,

First off, are all AXS shifters interchangeable without changing lines/calipers? It certainly seems so, just looking for confirmation before I try it out. Seems like the only difference is that Red calipers have bleeding edge ports.

Second, does anybody who has tried both prefer the Red AXS D1 shape to the Rival AXS D2 shape?

I've heard that folks generally prefer the newer Rival shape but I am a sucker for bling and being matchy-matchy (and wouldn't mind bite point adjustment) but don't want to go through the hassle just to regret it.
