SRAM AXS Newbie Compatibility Help

So I picked up a shifter? from the pros closet that was on sale, its like this one for my mountain bike.

Im slowly putting together a groupset when I find things on sale to try it out.
Will this shifter work with any rear AXS rear derailleur, like a GX?
