Brompton T Line - The new 7.45 kg titanium Brompton
This is the coolest thing to come out of the bike industry in a while for me. As a Londoner, Brompton's are part of my cycling DNA. I used to absolutely love riding around town on my Brompton with my headtube mounted bag. It was one of life's greatest pleasures. But it weighed 12 kg.
This is a total game changer considering you have to lug them through train stations and onto trains and whatnot and I doubt they'll be able to keep them in stock, even at their 4000GBP RRP. Edit: Starts at 3750GBP. https://us.brompton.com/tline Last edited by jkbrwn; 01-19-2022 at 02:21 PM. |

PS I know that you can make them lighter with aftermarket parts, but this is just so cool that I'd skip that route and go straight for this.

We should be glad for 3sixty and Comeplay for making those clones and possibly forcing Brompton's hand.
Looks like these will actually be made in house, which is pretty cool. |

Wow, really nice! If I had a commute that made sense to have one of these, i would need it.

Did Brompton post the photo of the unfinished weld? i don’t weld ti, but that looks like oxygen contamination.
Lovely bike otherwise. |

Lust
The Brommie is an ingenious design and a really functional bike. Mine takes me around the City and travels wherever I do. It has taken me over the Andes.
The one big problem was its weight. In the case, it weighs in at about 49-49.5 lbs, perilously close to big oversize charges by the airlines. This solves that issue.....and improves that uphill performance. This is a serious "want" |
