Looks like that was back in '19. The trunk of that Honda probably still reeks of petrol.

Could you imagine sending your wife out to get gas, then that? Could be interesting to watch her try to get the gas out of the bags.

I hate when the petrol station runs out of styrofoam coolers.

Times like these are why I like animals more than people.

I live in Niles, Michigan just a short distance from tank town on the end of a gas pipeline. There are about 30 of those huge storage tanks. No matter when I drive south from my place I'll see in that one mile stretch at least one tanker truck coming or going to pick up to deliver to gasoline stations. This volume of traffic is an illustration of how much gas Americans use in the Midwest. Its an amount that really impresses me.

I guess people have always been this way but the prevalence of cameras and 24/7 news makes us more aware. Still, can't help but feel some despair for our species. I've been saying for a long time schools need to focus on teaching critical thinking skills as a primary subject. These times truly require it. And, obviously, I'm not just referring to the "bag lady".
Just found out the video of the "bag lady" was from 2019...still https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ho...-plastic-bags/ Tim Last edited by mcteague; 05-13-2021 at 11:30 AM. |
