My regret - Wout wasn’t there. Great race otherwise!

PoGi is a gangster. 100km out - just let it rip.

It's pretty wild that Roche is even on this list, given that he never won any of those three any year except the year he won all of those three.

All the stars aligned for him that year and he was always very talented.

Anyway, I was able to attend the race in person today and what a ride from TP! Crowds were gigantic. What I loved about this, and this is the third or fourth road worlds I’ve been to in addition to several cyclocross worlds, is that everyone is cheering for the sport and their riders but I have yet to see any ugly incidents. Everyone is well behaved that I saw and the police try really hard to keep the lunatic idiots from interfering on the climbs. I wasn’t able to get to one of the big climbs so I can’t comment about those. We spent the whole day within a mile or so of the finish.

Great day and a very tough course. The last hour was actually not really exciting because TP seemed to have everything under control. The women’s race was actually a far better and more exciting event, but with much less pleasant weather.

Put me down as a Tadej doubter

I'm sure it will all come out eventually and he's probably not the only one on that particular "nutrition" plan. This season has been a bit too good

Don’t think we needed to hear this from you again.

If I remember the commentary correctly (Anthony McCrossan?), it's some sort of carbonate to help with digestion of all of the glucose they consume.

Pogi is playing Chess while the other guys are playing checkers... Everyone is undermining his race knowledge, outside of his talent and training. I follow his training on IG and he puts in the work.

He attacked with 100km to go and none of the favorites went with him, basically letting him TT away to a win. Pogi is smart and understands the lack of working together in the peloton. This is exactly what transpired when he attacked. The peloton went full nuclear with no one wanting to chase it down.

I understand not wanting to go with the immediate attack (assuming anybody even could) but the inability to reel him back in over the next ~60 miles is insane. That's a lot of time to get a rotation going and the group was still a decent size (10+ right, or am I misremembering the timing)?
