Drop bar Pogies?
Any recommendations? This would be for a bike with more bulbous (i.e. Shimano 105 hydro) brifters vs. mechanical ones - I’ve heard sizing can be an issue? Planning on sticking on a pair for the bike I use in the (cold) mountains this fall/winter. Maybe this way I won’t have freezing hands like usual!

Pogies are the way to go in cold weather. I have a pair of L or XL Bar Mitts on Sram Hydro levers. It's snug but not tight with my XL hands and light or mid gloves inside. I always have to get the biggest size pogies I can, even with mechanical levers.

Barmitts has the ones that only give protection on the hoods and also the double position ones which look like they may not be in production for long since they are on clearance.
https://barmitts.com/collections/road-bikes I have the hood style. They are indeed warm but you may not like being stuck on the hoods for the whole ride. I also have the flat bar ones but may ditch them for a good, reliable pair of heated gloves cuz it sucks to take them on and off the bike in the cold. I just don't trust to leave them on the bike in downtown Toronto. |
