Mine is CCT 60 539. It was sold to me as a 2002 and has a 1" head tube. Although you could get a 1 1/8" head tube on a Serotta at least as far back as 2000, frames that came with the F1 fork continued to be 1". F1 was not shown in the 2003 catalog and the F-2 and O2 were 1 1/8" only, so I think it's safe to assume your frame is a 2002. Good to see a later serial number than mine with a 1" HT. Concours was introduced in 1999, so it seems that Serotta must have been producing an average of around one every other day for the first four years of production.

I'm not an expert at all on Serotta, but I'm pretty sure that the Concours was introduced earlier than 2001.

Since there is no c in front of ct, it’s most likely a stock model, and the 1” headtube would make sense for a ‘99 or late ‘98 build. I haven’t dug in the catalogs since I bought a concours many moons ago...also pictures will help a lot! There are builders here from Serotta and owners that know their bikes!

Thanks much to all of you.
Pretty convinced that it is a 2000MY, looks like the pictured bike in the 2000 catalog, except it has a Time featherlight carbon fork and not a Reynolds, nor a F1. Cheers fellows |

My CCT 54 796 dated 7/2000 . Anyone want to trade: my 54.5cm TT and 54.5 ST frame for one with TT betwen 55.5 and 57cm? |

Our pal "Oliver" can probably find a statement in the Serotta catalog that stated a Concours was 85% of a Legend for 65% of the cost. I think I remember a guy who would have known saying that a Concours wasn't "allowed" to use ALL of the custom tubes "allowed" to Legends but those limited use tubes were even lighter than the Colorado Concept tubes available for a Concours so they were more likely to be specced on smaller frames than something as big as 60cm where the heavier tubes would be needed. Maybe one of our members who used to build Serottas can comment on the subject.

Good catch. I thumbed through the 2000 catalog and somehow missed the Concours page. Unless I made the same mistake looking through the 1998 catalog, 1999 is the first year for the Concours. I'll edit my comments about production.
