Yep, another thread on BTLOS: carbon spoked wheels
I own quite a few BTLOS carbon wheels with DT Swiss hubs. They are great!
Their "double-lock" carbon spoke utilizing hubs/wheelsets have now piqued my interest. These carbon spokes are replaceable if broken. And I am curious about the ride quality (in addition to the low, low, low weight) of such wheelsets. Anyone buy a pair and have reviews? |

Not specifically the BTLOS but I have the Hunt version of these. I'm not sure if they are more aero than a bladed steel spoke but they certainly are stiffer laterally and they're strong as ****. I've ridden the crap out of them for 3 years and never had an issue.
Any other carbon rim with steel spokes just feels softer then my current wheels. Not like, smoother softer, more like less performant softer. The carbon spokes are noticeable.

Speeder Cycling - carbon spoked carbon wheels
I have two sets of carbon spoked, filament wound carbon rim wheels from Speeder Cycling. The ride quality is amazing, probably better than my Bora 50s, if I am being honest. They are surprisingly stiff or forward propelling when accelerating yet never jarring over rough stuff.
I learned about Speeder Cycling when looking for alternatives to the Hyper wheels and connected and was impressed with their approach and design. (I believe they also make wheels and rims marketed by other companies) I would recommend them to others willing to consider options beyond the more established brand as they have designed unique hubs and rim shapes that work very well with carbon spokes. The owner Justin is very knowledgeable and helpful. https://www.speedercycling.com/28mm-...CSW-_p356.html |
