The Pro's Closet at it again

A 8 yo Colnago with repaired downtube, ****ty wheels, and 2 generation old Ultegra is tagged at $2,199.99.

Can't wait for the TPC sleeper agents here to "back them up" again.

My assumption is that these guys move through more used bikes than anyone else on the planet and they have a pretty good idea of what a given bike can sell for. You're not a buyer for that bike at that price, so move along.

Luckily it still has 'Colnago' printed on 23 other areas of the frameset, so everyone knows what you're riding.

Yeah that price seems high especially with that ugly patch job on the downtube, yikes.

This ad showed up on my Facebook feed so I clicked on it and it was the only thing I looked at. Wasn't even deliberately looking for a bad deal on TPC.

+1

Either it will sell at that price or they will have to lower it until it does. This is how markets work.

Curious why people seem genuinely offended at prices for things they aren't going to buy.

I've submitted my nearly mint steel Seven Axiom with 10-speed Centaur/Daytona twice, and have been rejected twice (October 2021 and today). I browsed the inventory and it is totally in line with their offerings. What, if anything, is scaring them off?

Possibly that its steel and older than they prefer. Nice looking bike however.

Too much overlap with current inventory and or perceived demand?

I can't tell from the photo, but are the crankset and brakes also Campy? The answer to this question would better inform my opinion.
