Helmets for bean-shaped heads

I've been trying to find a helmet for my wife and so far am coming up a bit empty.. She has what I would lovingly refer to as a bean-shaped head: more oval than round looking down from the top and a pronounced occipital extension.

Smith and POC helmets both are too round-shaped -- a medium kind of fits front to back but is way too wide.

Any thoughts on helmets that are shaped appropriately?

Looking for road use and mid-range -- good protection, MIPS, etc. -- but not top-o-the-line price-wise.

Some potential candidates: Specialized Airnet, Lazer Strada

I think I'm bean shaped, have always had gaps on the sides and pressure front to back.

KASK K10 worked exceptionally well for me, but crashed that one out (twice). Protone doesn't fit as well.
I'm now on a previous gen S-WORKS Prevail 2 MIPS, fits wonderfully. They're still on closeout some places for $120 it seems.

Giro and Lazer helmets both work well for my head, which is large and oval.

Agree with Lazer for me, Giro depends on which helmet.. if I remember right, the "spherical" helmets didn't work for my head but I've had good luck with other Giros.. and the Specialized Prevails I've tried on always felt good

Sweet Protection Falconer (yes the instagram one) is the comfiest helmet I've tried on my bean shaped head, if not the best ventilated.

My egg-shaped head seems to like Giro helmets. Was certainly the most bean-esque of the brands I tried on.

My previous one, a Specialized Propero II, was more round-shaped.

I'm similarly shaped in the head... By far the narrowest and most "oval" feeling is the Abus Gamechanger. I haven't tried their other more ventilated helmets, but I assume a similar fit. I can get away with my Smith, S-works, and even the newest Giro, but they're all noticeably rounder.

Length to width ratio for a handful of helmets is about halfway down this long post. https://intheknowcycling.com/aero-helmet/

Round headed here.
I’d say you do not want Bell but would do well to try Giro.

Not sure about "bean shaped" but Specialized models seem to fit my "egg shaped" dome (more long and narrow as opposed to short and wide) much better than the rounder helmets. I currently wear a Prevail II and it fits amazingly well.

Poc helmets fit pretty well too, and their fitment system is better IMO, although they're a little wider.

I thought this would be helpful, but the thread has veered off in another direction….

I'm also bean/egg shaped, have always done best with Giro and Specialized helmets.
