Rapha + Allied Collab announced

Looks pretty cool to me, but priced out of my range currently... only members can pre-order though.

How much of a collab is it when they have the same owners?

It's like Buick and Chevrolet announcing a new collaboration.

Jinkies.. I didn't put 2+2 together. With Allied being in Arkansas, Walmart boys owning Rapha. Haven't really paid much attention to Allied until that one popped up here the other day (which I should have grabbed )

If anyone is dying to step up and buy one, perhaps one of our RCC members can act as your go-between. I'd be really surprised if these sell out.

You sure this is true? If so, surprised it took them this many years. And don't forget, they had a similar collaboration with OPEN a few years back.

Maybe a more relevant analogy would be Pinarello and Louis Vuitton.

True. From this article in arktimes: "Allied, whose owners include bike enthusiasts and billionaire brothers Steuart and Tom Walton"

Another cool link Full disclosure. I just got an Able (not RCC) and am swapping bars, cassette and cranks before it's maiden run. I rode an OPEN UP and really loved it. I think this'll be the same experience, but with a threaded BB and some other bits that make sense.

I'm RCC, but my gravel needs are met by my Parlee. Only 100.. so yes they will sell out.

Fair.
As a bonus, they will have a year to complain on the RCC Forum about not getting their $$ worth. There's a lot of that.

I buy all my Rapha at Walmart

Since most products are made in China, why not?
