SOLVED: Anyone a DIY-Pro with DTSwiss front hubs?

Specifically, I have a MTB wheelset with what I THINK are DT240Oversize 100mm front hub. It's been converted previously to a thru-bolt to work on a QR fork.

I'm trying to get the end caps and axle out to convert it to 110Boost to use with a new suspension fork, but the non-disc-side end cap will only unthread 3-4 turns before it "pops" off the last thread. You know that feeling when you turn a 2L bottle top backwards to make sure the threads are aligned? Yeah, that's the sound/feeling I'm getting. BUT the end cap isn't released. It's still stuck tight to the axle or hub or something.

SO... anyone here have any experience with breaking down threaded DTSwiss front hubs?

Actually I haven't tried this with the disc removed yet. I just assumed the end cap wouldn't interfere with the disc, but it DOES. Back in 5...

Put the long end of an Allen wrench through the other side and give it a bump

Or use a shop rag/electrical tape and some pliers on the silver part

Now the disc is off and the disc side cap just comes right out.

From reading about the Boostinator 100->110 end caps, it mentions that the Non-disc side end cap is replaced with a longer cap and the wheel is redished to align the brake rotor.

What was messing me up here is that the previous owner or whomever converted the wheels to thru-bolt put the axle and end caps on BACKWARDS. No functional issue at all, but it means that the "wrong" end cap was the one that was unscrewing.
