http://www.cadre.org/Merckx/ - they can help.
You may have a Merckx Professional, but the Merckx factory wasn't exactly known for following a strict serial convention. Emailing Gita Sporting Goods may also help. That's how I learned my Merckx is a Reynolds 753 Gran Prix from the mid '80s. Robert |

along with emailing gita, try emailing the merckx plant directly:
http://www.eddymerckx.be/contact I emailed them several times in the past years for info on my MXL (don't have it anymore) and they always got back to me. PS - if you do email them tell them to start making the MXL and Corsa Extra in their Belgium plant again. |

Maybe it could be useful to someone...
A0163 = 1986, no technical markings = no other information... The Grand Prix appeared in 1988, the designation A is obviously not Professional. |
