Hood-friendly dropper lever

I like the dropper so much on my mtn bikes that I've decided to get one for my drop bar gravel. I usually feel a lot more comfortable descending gravel sections on the hoods rather than the drops. Lots of my gravel descending requires moving around a bit and weighting/unweighting the front to pick the right lines. I feel I'm better able to do this while on the hoods as compared to in the drops. Does anyone know of a dropper lever that can be actuated from the hoods? Also, I'm running a FD so I can't use my left shifter for the dropper.

This might work, though it may be a bit low considering you like to be on the "hoods"

Might be able to play with the positioning though.

Are you running 2x up front? I have see people re purpose the front shifter to control the dropper.

left shifter would be ideal if you were 1x
could be tricky to use a mtb lever and get enough leverage. wireless is an option now and depending on how they're made, could simply be a matter of wiring your own microswitch at/in the hoods. but that limits you with post diameters.

then there's this. dunno anything about irl

I saw a creative option on the Rodeo Labs Instagram, but I can’t find it now. They are good and helpful people if you want to message them.

If you get a Thomson dropper, this is pretty slick.

AXS reverb with a blip button .

Thesis bikes has a nice one but I think you need to buy a bike to get it.
