Anyone ever own the Douglas Fusion aluminum/carbon bikes?

A friend's friend will be looking at a Douglas Fusion with Easton Ultralite main triangle, carbon stays and Reynolds fork. Ultegra 6500 group.

I remember these from the Colorado catalogs from the early(?) 2000s.

A trusted friend is helping with the sale so I think it will go through but I was just curious if anyone here ever had one and how they liked it.
Some quick searches showed favourable reviews.

I had a TI Douglas with carbon stays and the a Reynolds fork back in the early 2000's. It was a great bike for the time especially for the price. I think I got the complete bike for less than $2K.

I would assume the Aluminum version would be a little stiffer but probably a decent bike for the right price.
