Tarmac SL8 Pic

Not that I am that interested, but here it is, no Roval integrated bars on the training camp pic, but betting they come with it when released, head tube looks wonky to me

The front of the bike looks like Governor Ratcliffe.

From what I've heard they've taken the aethos techniques and applied it to the tarmac. It's supposed to be considerably lighter (200grams) and slightly more aero than current sl7.

Like almost all Specializeds, I'm sure it will ride great. I don't really feel the need to upgrade my SL7.

Has this been officially confirmed? Everything I’ve read says it’s a fake.

This is strategic leaking....I've heard from specialized employees that they will be launching a tarmac in about a month.

As an admitted Spesh fan, and SL7 owner, I've been following along on WeightWeenies for a few months. I have zero interest in this SL8, but I am confident in seeing it, that they will indeed be bringing back the Venge line. This SL8 is clearly heading more towards the lightweight direction versus the aero direction. With the relaxed UCI tubing shape rules, they have a ton of room to reduce watts with the frame profile, but they clearly chose to tweak it just a bit, probably saving a watt(they'll get to say 6 watts because they'll add the integrated aero handlebar), and reducing the weight by 100 grams or so.

I owned a 3T Strada, and loved it, and would own another one, ideally with larger tire clearance... they then did nearly the identical thing to the head tube on the recent ICR version, and I immediately wrote that off.

I do like the looks of the almost "Alpinist" style seatpost. I'd love for that to be backwards compatible with the SL7, but thats wishful thinking...

It’s a shame they can’t just re-release the Venge frame with more modern production technique . That’s probably the best look bike they’ve made over the past few years.
