How do you carry your phone when not wearing a jersey?

Looking for a phone carrying solution for rides when I'm not wearing a jersey.

Prefer not to use a QuadLock or similar as I prefer having my computer on the bars.

Prefer not to use a handlebar bag as it seems a lot to carry just to carry a phone.

I wouldn't object to a triangle bad to go at top/seat tube junction, but the ones I see are huge and/or expensive.

Is there some minimalist bike-mounted solution out there that I'm missing?

Thanks

I don’t carry phone in jersey and this works for me for phone, tube etc but may not fit larger phones

I know you said you didnt want one, but the Ornot mini bar bag is really small, goes on/off the bars in seconds and would be perfect for just a phone and maybe some car keys...

Thanks. Have too many bibs without pockets but it's a hard requirement for any new bib purchases. Have a similar thing to the bottle cage pod but it doesn't fit my phone. I think I could stomach the Ornot bar bag.

I've found a frame pack, or triangle bag as I think you are calling it, to be the most useful storage device I've ever used for many things.

Little bar bags like the Ornot above or the Roadrunner Burrito, Banjo Bros, (dozens of other makers) are my preferred solution for what you describe. Access is super easy, even while moving and it doesn't interfere with your knees while climbing in the way that a bento box style bag can. Mine carries energy chews, phone, credit card, and packable rain jacket. Arm/knee warmers if the season calls for it.

Minor downsides - because of where my bell is, the bag is a tiny bit off center, usually I can ignore, sometimes on my more OCD days I can't. If it really bothered me I could move the bell. If your bars are narrower than 40cm you might have some conflict or thumb rubbing if trying to use the bar top position.

I thought I was the only one facing this. I have an Ornot Mini Bar Bag as pictured above, but I don't use it on my drop bar bikes (40cm width) because of the bell placement, bartape termination point, etc. Larger bar bags with a wider strap to strap distance works, but still on the lookout for a long but small bar bag.

I refuse to wear cycling jerseys, and have replaced all bibs with bibs that have side pockets. They work great for phones, outside of wearing regular shorts with pockets

Otherwise, phones can go in a plethora of handlebar bags (check out burrito bag), top tube bags, small frame packs, stem caddies, etc. There are no shortage of options nowadays to not look like a MAMIL with bike jerseys.

Pick up something with a web ladder on the side and can be use as a small bar bag also.

Isn't that wedge in the middle to hold the phone? Then you can truly butt dial...

Not bike mounted but I use the arm band with a pocket that is popular with runners when I don't have jersey pocket
