How is your Festive 500 going?

I don't normally do these because this is always our extra heavy rains time
So far I'm happy to say I was only stormed out once on 2nd day

Anyway fingers crossed for weather to hold

How are your "festive 500"rides going?

We are on vacation over Xmas and in an area where riding outside is possible for the first time. I’ve been working for the last 5 days and am 215k deep. It’s gonna be some long trainer rides to when we get home to push it over the line but I’m super motivated to try and get it done.

I knocked out 160km the first day but found out they've done away with the physical patches and it's digital now. So my motivation has flagged and despite the warm temps completion is unlikely.

Rain has ruined it, for the most part...at least that’s what I’m going to go with.

I'm out. Did it to years ago and it was more fun than I thought it would be. Had ideas of doing it this year late. Did not realize it started on the 24th, which was a beautiful day here where I could have ridden but did not. Then we had snow and I lost motivation.

You only need another 11.6 miles to get the Festive 50 award.

I've got umpty-squat things to do today, but I'm gonna try to get a ride in before the rain and catch you.

I need to retire.

Maybe I'll just walk over to the Rapha store at lunch and spend $500 instead.
