Brakes - mid-reach rear and cantilever front?

I just got this really lovely IF steel fork for cantilevers but my frame is for mid-reach. Any reason not to use these two different brakes - fashion police?

The likely axle-to-crown length of the canti fork is probably not ideal for the mid reach frame, but it might be within the realm of OK. That would be my concern.

I thought about that and with another bottom cup (44mm headtube) I should get really close to the original fork spec and geometry

You could try to look for "Moots Mounts", but they've been out of production for a long time.

Functionally, I imagine you're fine.
