OT: What iPhone case do you use.

On my 4s, I had one of the cheaper black cases with the clip on holster to cover the face. That actually worked fine. My iPhone gets tossed around a bit in bike bags, jersey pockets, gym bags, back packs, etc.

I upgraded to a 5s when I fried the 4s and went looking for a case, only to discover the plethora of cases all the way from slim and elegant to military ballistic.

After taking waaaay to much internet time comparing cases, I got the Griffin Survivor Waterproof:

I think that the iPhone 5 series is a beautiful phone, but, IMHO, does need protection, at least from falls, which always happen.

And, the Griffin is growing on me. It has sort of a GoPro look to it.

What case are you using?

android is more open, and tor is available for personal privacy. iphone has to be jail broken for tor, which means an invalidated warranty.

i always thing of Apple as the tech equivalent of the 'boy/ girl in the golden cage' syndrome.

Magpul

It's cheap, thin, and a good texture. I've heard they can stretch if yu take them on and off too much, but I haven't experienced it in over a year.

My phone had met several concrete and tile floors and is undamaged.

QuadLock

QuadLock for iPhone 5s together with their bike and car mounts.
Had the one for the 4 which I liked even though it was more of a hardshell and too slippery in my opinion. Their new 5s case is really nice and works perfectly for me.

Rubber eBay tire tread pattern case. Works nice, nonslip. Five bucks

No need to spend a lot. My $1.99 eBay cheapo case is just as good as the $50.00 Otterbox.

I use Lifeproof case. Expensive, but makes the phone resistant to water, small drops, dings etc. Slight degradation of phone calls, but not terrible. I use bluetooth headsets now, so solves the issue.

I wash my phone every day or two to keep everything clean. No worries about sweat on the phone from biking or in the rear pocket.

The downside is when the phone is being charged by cable, it makes the phone screen not as sensitive or accurate, so I usually unplug the phone from charging when need to use it.

Can't take a picture because it is on my phone now.

+1 for the Quadlock. IMO, the best mount/ case system on the market.

I have the 4 and 5 as well. The 5 is a superior update. The kit comes with a rain cover that still allows the touch screen to be used. I even have one of the mounts stuck onto the car dash which is great as a GPS.

New LifeProof Nuud case for the iPhone 5S. Its awesome. Waterproof down to 6ish feet, and you can still touch the screen! Can't beat that. The only issue is that you need to use the supplied adapter if using the headphone jack. Otherwise, its awesome!
