OT--Have to go to work today
Unfortunately, someone in SC stole the numbers I was going to pick.
Now my family and friends have to go to work. NPR must continue its fund drives. The bike industry will suffer. Life is so unfair. |

If won the lottery, I'd be at work bright and early the next day -that money isn't worth as much unless everybody I cant stand sees me with it everyday!

I would rather win the 40 mil Friday. After the big to do its under the radar and nobody needs a billion dollars..... YMMV.

Yeah, but I find $40M kind of limiting.

I haven't been following the news this morning, so I'm just keeping hope alive that one of the tickets my wife got yesterday was a winner and she's been too busy to check.

Unless she commuted to South Carolina to buy the ticket, I have some disappointing news for you.

i would have a blast giving millions to non profits/charities. Providing funds for lives that can't fight for themselves... kids/animals/the earth would be very gratifying for me. I bought a ticket so my wife could quit her job we could retire to BC stand in a river and swing flies. damnit. I had a plan.

I saw that the winning ticket was not sold here. I will somehow have to soldier on, but I'd be working today regardless.

from my favorite economist...Eliot Eisenberg....the Bowtie economist:
Lucky Lottery Tonight, if the Mega-Millions jackpot is not shared, the winner will enjoy the largest lotto prize in world history at $1.6 billion. Two changes created these huge jackpots; doubling of the price to $2/ticket and reducing the chance of winning from 1 in 258,890,850 to 1 in 302,575,350. This was done because of fear of "jackpot fatigue" from paltry prizes of $100 million. In FY2018, lottery sales totaled $77.7 billion.
