I already loved rodeo labs. Many of their rides have been inspirations for me. So much love for this move, but no desire to emulate.

Would rather see this than all the washed up roadies shilling instatok and U-tub for a buck
It does make Kansas slightly more exciting |

That is the spirit of gravel, if i've ever seen it right there.
Imagine how silly you would feel if you were one of the vocal protesters who claimed a "huge aero penalty" from a number card when these guys got it done on beach cruisers and air horns.

Best story of Unbound for me! I have a beach cruiser in the shed, anyone want my gravel bike?!

Kudos to those guys. There are lots of "you don't need an expensive bike to have fun" articles, but this one was particularly fun and instructive.
I'd love to see data for all Unbound participants on how much they spent on: Bike Kit, helmet, shoes Accessories (bags, tools, nutrition) |

Need a new race - Unbound Walmart. Bikes sold at Walmart are the only ones you're allowed to ride, with minimal modifications. The race will change every year - 200 mile gravel, 5k team pursuit at a velodrome, etc.
Gravel cruisers. If ya know, ya know. Get me Specialized marketing on line one!

I really enjoyed the photos of these guys having fun, gladly never spared a single thought of venom for any of the participants.

That is awesome!
I spend a week on a beach cruiser on the Florida coast every year. In that week, I always learn that biking on a beach cruiser is fun but speed and distance can be very challenging. And I'm talking trip distances of 10-30 miles. I can't imagine the energy needed to grit out 200 miles on a bike like that. |

This was great, I got a bunch of laughs out of it. You have to have some strong legs - and mental fortitude! - to complete a ride like that on those bikes.
The basket was a nice touch. No flats or mechanicals! On plastic cranks and coaster brakes! Incredible. |

If you add activities (pick up stuff, transfer stuff from one point to the other) you could make basket bikes a competitive category. And then we'd be on our way to aero carbon fiber basket bikes.
