Bob Stapleton new chair of USA Cycling

Not sure I'm so thrilled by this. I know he's got lots of years in the biz, but I'd like to see USAC turn over a new leaf by bringing in leaders who were not neck deep helping / shielding dopers.

This is great news!
He is local here in SLO, and many around here know him as a straight shooter.
Best of luck to him.

Interesting. Greg Lemond should be the new chair.

I share the suspicion of people who have been actively in the sport during the doping cover-ups, but see the value of having someone with juice in that world rather than an outsider.

All you can hope is that he has good character and moves the organization in the right direction.

Also, all US Races will now require Mad Fiber wheels

I love Greg lemond, but I wouldn't trust him to manage a lemonade stand. I think Stapleton is a good choice. I like guys who have run things to run things.

IMHO, I think Bob Stapleton has good backbone, and certainly does not need the job, so he won't be anybody's puppet.
