dang

did I read that right--over $600k fundraising!

Honestly, if it allowed me to jog 3 or more miles without triggering my post-COVID high heart rate problems, I'd use one.

Assuming it's not a joke, wouldn't it be a bad idea to inflict added horsepower onto an unfit body?

Seems like a recipe for injury.

I am not telling my son about this, he wanted to become an engineer so he could build an exoskeleton. And then he moved on to math.

I feel like this is going to be another kickstarter failure, but who knows?

If designed correctly, and used correctly with poles, "could" (big quotes) could be a savior for those with major back issues. In other words, get it into medical device category

Just to do it, probably face plants, wouldn't want to be there insurer

I believe the first one of these I saw was originally built to aid in the rehabilitation of patients learning to walk again and or those with other afflictions reducing the ability for them to walk.

Yes, I've seen similar to help people with spinal injuries walk. Basically lifts the legs and moves them forward. This I assume does similar so it reduces the effort needed to do it yourself.
I can see a lot of falls in users futures if they aren't in sync with this thing.

I can't believe it has $600K funding. I wonder if that's in HK$ Strangely, the "goal" went up $4 since last night. Exchange rate fluctuations? That would be $79K in USD (still insane) but only a fund raising goal of $1,276, which seems crazy low for something this involved.

That number is in U.S. dollars. If you hover over the $ sign next to it, it says that it's converted from HK dollars. I assume the goal is also in U.S. dollars, but nothing says that. That's a real danger sign for me, I don't see how you can do this for $10k USD.
