Timing of new Campagnolo Record group?

Looks like the current Campy Record 12 came out in 2018. Contemplating a rim brake group but don't mind waiting if a new gen is 6-18 months out. My last record group purchase was yr 2000 so I'm patient.

Anyone familiar with timing of the release of an updated version?

Thanks

Even within Campagnolo, no final decisions have been taken.
I was at the factory two weeks ago and asked the same question.

Still trying to decide if the next group sets will be 12spd or 13spd?

I can't imagine Campagnolo will ever release a new rim brake groupset, I would think any new groupsets from Campy would be disc only. But I could be wrong!

Maybe. But the last new releases of Shimano Dura-Ace (under 2 years ago) and SRAM Red (just over 1 year ago) included rim brakes. Shimano and SRAM are killing off mechanical shifting groups (at least at the high end) faster than they are killing off rim brakes, so who knows how much longer rim brakes will be supported in new groups.

Any word from the factory re: Ekar WRL? That's what I'm stoked about. Cash is ready for purchase!

Are you waiting for a new rim brake group that is mechanical or electronic? I know Campy just came out with SR WRL, but it’s for disc brakes only. I wonder if they would do a rim brake e-shifting group? Or is Campy SR EPS still available? According to the website the answer appears to be no.

Good Luck!

From memory of previous discussions here, I believe the answer is yes to SR EPS.

So it appears Campy has 3 e-shifting groups:

SR WRL for disc brakes
SR EPS for disc brakes
SR EPS for rim brakes

They don’t seem to be doing a good job of advertising them…

Good Luck!

I can't seem to find it but I recall several months ago (could be longer) there was a thorough post from gfk_velo listing all of their current groupset offerings, across all levels, mechanical and electronic, rim and disc.

They have a web-site and based upon that, I only see two things:

https://www.campagnolo.com/us-en/roa...nic-groupsets/

SR WRL for disc brakes
SR EPS for disc brakes
