I rode to my polling station today as well. About 4 blocks.

Glad that Paceline is a site that doesn't do politics. And congrats on voting. I'm late 50's and have never had the opportunity to. Haven't been a citizen where I lived since 1990 or it hasn't been an election year when I've lived back at home.

My Cannondale F1000SL MTB has taken me to the last two elections. It sports an “I Voted” sticker on the stem.
Constant rain for two days so I resorted to the gas guzzler (Ford Ranger, 4 cylinder, 5 speed) to get me to the polling place today. Nice and dry. |

I dropped off our family’s collection of ballots at the PO a few weeks ago as we really only were able to easily vote by mail because of COVID. The pols tried to make it complex (and still do), but common sense and public pressure eventually prevailed. I thought of just stamping the ballots and placing them in the mailbox, but I felt better seeing the postal employee stamp and bin the ballots.
Our county also has a website which tracks received ballots and all went well from my perspective. One shouldn’t have to question the integrity of the voting process, but sadly, there are people out there that would do anything to advance their cause and agenda. |

I rode my bike to the polling place. I commute to work by bike. I stayed late working and then arrived at the polling place about five minutes before close. I was the second to last person to vote. I was able to wheel my bike into the polling place. It is a Desalvo titanium courtesy of Clean39T. I would not want to leave that outside! The polling place is a local elementary school. The polls were in the gym. It was a little bit embarrassing to be clicking around in my bike shoes. I am glad I got a chance to vote. I hope our new president elect will be good for our country.
