Sauna for injury recovery

I read a lot lately from Peter Attia and watched Rhonda Patrick's Youtube videos on sauna benefits. I was a bit skeptical but thought I would give it a try as it can't really hurt. I was in a crash recently and before then have had a series of muscle strains.

I really think that sauna speeds recovery from soft tissue injuries and also helps a lot w heat acclimation. I am still trying to get going but getting way closer and continuing w PT and daily sauna.

Have also been supplementing with protein to get more.

My plan for the summer is to continue to hit the sauna a few times a week to
stay heat acclimated. I think it really helps with recovery and heat acclimation.
It is also relaxing and feels therapeutic. I try to stay in for 20 minutes.

Anyone else seeing similar benefits? I go to an Esporta that is free as I am on silver sneakers.

Alan

Can't say anything about the sauna but I do think the hot tub we have does provide some relief.

We basically always have it set around 99-100F and stay in it maybe 15-20 minutes.

No replacement for the foam roller though and holy **** is not cost effective in comparison.

I think the tricky thing in either case is making sure going in a sauna or hot tub doesn't contribute to dehydration.
