Looks like a fun and challenging route you have cooked up there!
What is the plan, if you don't mind sharing? Are you carrying your gear or having someone ferry it for you? Staying in hotels along the way? I can't imagine [myself] wanting to attempt that on anything but very low gearing!

I'd very much prefer the SAG wagon. Low(er) gearing will be a must if I want to enjoy myself. My son will be on 50/34 11-30. His Allez DSW should be showing up today and I'm hoping to build it up to weigh under 7 kg. I've got a 56cm Allez DSW that's JUST over 7kg I plan on using so we can "match". |

Sounds like a lot of fun! Hope you bring us back some pics and a ride report. I love this kind of content here!

The Rear Derailleur goes to 32, but you're not wrong. I'll see what I can work out.

Things will get uploaded and shared. Last time I did this there were half a dozen of us who rode along the Blue Ridge Parkway from VA to SC. I climbed Mt Mitchell. Never wanted to get off and throw my bike more due to frustration on all the false summits along that climb. However 226a was and AMAZING descent. I was deeply saddened to see the devastation of Helene on 226a and surrounding areas.
