The LBS had a Lemond that one of their customers wanted to sell. It was a canti bike, but the clearances looked too tight to put tires suitable for use on the gravel around here or even just put fenders on. Beautiful bike though. Wasn't tempting enough to ask how much they wanted.

If It's a Poprad, it'll fit 700c 42mm in the front, 38mm in the back. Or at least that's what mine fits.

Angry Scientist often writes with his tongue deeply embedded in his cheek, but given the nature of the written word (especially in internet forum posts), it is sometimes hard to tell. When I first started posting here, I rubbed me the wrong way. Then I caught on. It still sometimes grinds my gears, but only so slightly that I'm not losing any noticeable quantity of watts because of it.

Anyway, the bike in the OP would fit me perfectly in every way except for color.

1x12 speed, 10-50 cassette, AXS, hydraulic disc, tubeless. Currently this is a ritchey outback but a Crux is joining it today.

My cross bike, an Alan, but CF, has been sadly gathering dust. There used to be a couple of races per year in my little town and I resolved to answer the call up this year but alas, I have to drive an hour for the closest race. Probably won’t happen. Not to mention racing in 80 degree weather just ain’t right.

I recently used my cross bike wheel to test fit tire size on another bike and realized I used to never give tire width a second thought for cross racing, just tread type. Typical tire width was around 30 mm which I guess would be unusual now.

No one should get upset about what I post here. It's all a big joke and just having some friday conversation here.

Listen, right now I am wearing an mechanical watch. This morning I went to get coffee in my manual transmission RWD car. Later I will ride my steel bike with friction shifting, rim brakes and tubes in the tires.

I live in a 110 year old house and I'm prepping my steam boiler and wood fireplace for the winter ahead this weekend.

The market has clearly and loudly spoken and I'm fully aware my preferences are well outside the current demand, and i'm 100% OK with that. Turns out the big joke is on me!

If I want to start a thread on a Friday in praise of a simpler time in CX racing when IMO the bikes looked better and the racing was more interesting when braking was more of a question than a feature, that's what I'll do.

I have been on a huge vintage cx bike kick. the only thing that could compel me to sell my Parlee Z CX is something from the list below and it would probably end up being n+1. Cantis suck. Mini motos are far worse than discs. I don't ride the parlee all that much vs everything else but damn are they nice bikes to look at.
