Took a little detour up an old railroad that the county is in the process of converting into a bike path. Started out great--beautiful route up the canyon. The gravel got quite chunky. I thought to myself, "I am seriously underbiked and a long way from pavement. I should turn around." I turned around to head back. A rock immediately cut a giant hole in my sidewall.

Lesson learned? I should not have turned around.

Beautiful day nonetheless.
