The challenge is, as I understand it, is that ongoing discomfort isn't really a medical issue. It's the organ strangulation that happens if things get through the tear and now you're on your way to the ER for emergency repair.
That was my biggest concern, and I took it really easy until I got scheduled with Dr. Reinhorn in Boston. Two days of operative discomfort and then I was good.
