Be careful with that slit in the back feature.
Like you I thought it was a great idea but.....
If the vest is not same brand as jersey then its likely the pockets will not exactly line up with the slits.
I have slipped my phone in thinking it was going in pocket...it was not
Luckily the vest waist band was tight enough to keep phone in vest
Truthfully I prefer a vest with rear pockets. It is not hard to later move things to jersey pockets if removing vest
