Missed your last question. The chrome seems to be as good as anyone's. No file or sanding marks. Buffed out to a nice luster. The rear brake mounting surface was left chromed:

I've had 2 bikes with chrome lugs and stays before this, a Schwinn Paramount and an Italvega Nuovo Record. The Italvega had sort of a Cinelli influence with the chromed lugs and sloping fork crown. Would've liked the fork on the Cinelli to be all chrome since the rear stays are mostly chromed. It's growing on me the way it is now tho.
