It's an external shimano hollow tech II bb inside a steel frame. I have the park tools driver and bbt-19.2, so it's a good fit. The driver is a bit short so it's hard to get long and good leverage.
I've got no penetrating oil. Just chain lube, degreaser, and mineral spirits. Any chance of damaging the frame threading?

I'll be capt obvious..British threading? RH cup left threaded..(righty-loosey)..
I wouldn't worry about the frame..tool in vice, rotate frame with somebody pushing down on BB shell while you rotate it?
