I made a sale today with FB MP. It had to be a local sale as it was a cheap complete bike. A Schwinn Loop folder.
I had about 15 messages in 3 days with 3/4 of them either, "is it still available" with no follow up or a low ball offer. 1 guy said he could come on Monday and he did. The usual ask of can I take $10 less. Of course that part was built into the price so the sale was made.
The ad was also on CL and I had 3 meaningless inquiries with no follow up.
I think I have come to the conclusion that whether it's FB, CL what have you I just don't want to do anymore face to face selling. It just takes too much time to deal with time wasters, tire kickers etc. I think I would rather pack up the "thing" and ship it to the stranger on the other end, or maybe a known person here on PL. My 2ยข worth.
