I'm not really into Bruce Springsteen so I'm biased but if you see any of the videos of his ridiculous broadway residency shows where he plays solo acoustic and sings he comes across a heck of a lot better than he does with the E street band in modern incarnations. The E Street band always seems like there is way too much going on, way too many people playing at the same time and not making space for each other.. Bruce is the only one who just sits back and doesn't overplay since he's busy singing.
But on Neil Young I don't think I've ever met anyone in person who played guitar who didn't love Neil Young.
Ironically I've seen Springsteen live but haven't ever gotten to see Neil Young.
