The DFW slander is unbearable.
I like Serrano's writing, but he definitely owes a lot of his conversational style to Simmons, as does every early 2000s sports blogger. I would say Simmons ripped off Klosterman if anyone, but he's not nearly as expansive in his pop culture vocabulary as Chuck.
