Wasn't it just a longer nut? The bolt end was always on the brake caliper.

I made sure to always save the one that came with my Serotta back when I had it. (I had an F3 fork)

But I thought these weren't that hard to get from a LBS through the distributors. I highly doubt Serotta had to get those made special for them, there were probably other forks which used the longer nuts. Maybe it was a Shimano part.

If it turns out to be that hard I'd go asking someone like Dave Kirk.

Here are a couple potential Shimano PNs:

18mm Recessed brake caliper nut: Y85574310
32mm Recessed brake caliper nut: Y8A023210

Both of them came up on Universal Cycles when I searched in google.
