using the jogtracker app I had many 8-10 hour hikes and never came close to draining the battery. I liked how it was just basic and would not always try and get you to upgrade.
I am using the Goals-fitness free app and the free strava on my iphone 14 and they do not drain my battery but I don't like how they always want you to upgrade.
