Here's a shot I just took of Johny with his Kirk at the Ramble. The brazed fillets and fork lug, together with the paint and straight seatstays held my eye for so long I asked if he would pose with it. I meant to take some closeups but got distracted, but here it is on DK's site:

As an aside, I really enjoyed John's company at the Ramble despite the fact that he is a fellow academic scientist (cycling clearly trumps everything personality-wise). He also has a great family --his wife and 3 unnaturally cute little boys accompanied him on Saturday.
