Doug Hall rolls his bike away from a burning home, Wednesday, April 19, 2006, in Forest, Va. Hall was out for a day of cycling when he noticed flames coming from under the porch at the home. Hall, of Lynchburg, ran to the house and knocked on the front door. When no one answered, Hall ran to neighbor's home for help. (AP Photo/The News and Advance, Chet White)
Funny that he had a bike and ran for help!

My strangest on-bike spectacle was riding on a frontage road next to an interstate exit where you exited, went up a ramp to a "T" intersection. I was riding along when all of a sudden out of my peripheral vision there was a car flying through the air! I kid you not, my first thought was "there's something you don't see every day!". Went over to the car (which had landed on its top) and there was a really fat guy, drunk as he could be, both legs badly broken and who knows what other injuries. He was pinned so all I could do was keep him calm (when he came to) while an ambulance came. Pretty weird.
