I'm confused again. What relevance does the 'l' measurement have? Doesn't the rider's position relative to the bottom bracket also depend on how far the post is extended. If the post is extended farther, then the rider moves rearward, and if the post is shortened, the rider moves forward, yet 'l' would be the same in both cases. So, it seems to me if someone said my frame setback is X, that wouldn't tell you much about their position relative to the bottom bracket.
